Six Sentence Sunday 3/25/12

Today is #sixsunday where published and non-published writers share six sentences from their work.  I will share 6 sentences from my finished Work-In-Progress Time Changes Everything. It's mighty hard to pick out six sentences, but here it goes.

Amanda kisses Jake to ward off her ex-boyfriend. Now Jake talks to her about it. 

       “I noticed you were a little afraid of him...” his smile grew, “...and that you like to kiss unsuspecting men.”

     “He’s intimidating. That’s all.” Amanda stepped away ignoring Jake’s last comment.

     Jake didn’t like the feeling of emptiness once she was out of his hold. Amanda rubbed her fingers on her forehead.

     She wasn’t going to admit that she liked that kiss. He wouldn’t let her forget.
